 "I like the mystery . . . putting the puzzle together . . . getting the transaction from a receipted contract to a completed file and knocking down all of the hurdles along the way,” says Angie Heidrich Hicks when asked what she enjoys most about the Title Industry. And although the business of closing real estate transactions can have hurdles, there’s nothing more fulfilling than helping clients purchase a home or sell a property. As an Escrow Officer for Independence Title Company’s New Braunfel’s branch, Angie gets to do just that!
Born and raised in New Braunfels, Texas, Angie has an intimate knowledge and understanding of the land in this area. Angie’s family has been in New Braunfels since 1863. Growing up on a ranch in New Braunfels, Angie attended and graduated from New Braunfels’ schools, obtained her Texas Real Estate License, and then entered the world of Title Insurance, where she has worked for the past 8 years. Active in the New Braunfels Jaycees, Angie enjoys supporting her community and spending time with her family on their homestead in New Braunfels and their South Texas hunting ranch. The mother of two young children, Angie takes tremendous pride in their accomplishments and strives to provide them with opportunities that will lead them to an enjoyment of, and success in, life.
Angie specializes in construction and residential transactions and is very proud of the fact that she got to work on a closing involving the tract of land that now houses the New Braunfels Town Center at Town Creek. Because of her upbringing, Angie’s work on a file involving a local ranching family selling land to a developer hit very close to home. This ability to connect directly to the parties involved in a real estate transaction sets Angie apart from many Escrow Officers. Angie truly loves dealing with people and says that most find her light-hearted and funny. "I know this is a serious business and it gets stressful,” Angie asserts, "but I would rather handle difficulties with laughter and a positive attitude than get upset and stress others. I try to put a smile on my face and move on to solutions!”
