 In 32 years in the title business, Dan Phares has worked through an incalculable number of complex issues and closed hundreds of commercial transactions up to $750M. Dan said he still looks forward the sense of accomplishment when a complex transaction is closed and the results become visible on the ground.
In Dan’s long title career, has owned title, 1031 exchange, and tax services companies, has been an expert witness on title-related issues for numerous trials and has TLTA certification of Certified Title Insurance Associate (CTIA). He continues to dedicate himself to growing his technical expertise and bringing his very best to every transaction.
Dan grew up in Port Arthur, Texas, and is married with five children and five grandchildren. When he’s not managing complicated transactions, he lifts weights, bicycles and reads.
Dan is backed by a strong team that includes assistant Whitney White, with more than 10 years experience in the title business. The rest of Dan’s support team includes a title plant staffed by Austin’s finest title examiners, with data covering 8 counties in Central Texas and relationships that allow Independence to handle transactions anywhere in the state.
