I’d have to do something that capitalizes on my [charmingly] argumentative nature. Options would surely include attorney, college professor, devil’s advocate at a conservative think tank, dual role as mayor/librarian in some small township (would have to be within a 30- mile radius of Austin — I lose my superpower if I stray too far from the home planet) …

Pursuing success on terms that I define, thinking new thoughts, creating and protecting quiet space in my day, and making sure my daughter knows she’s completely amazing.

The people I get to work with are smart, funny, caring, and practice good hygiene. Some are also skilled at changing tires, making lemon bars, tolerating absurd humor and gratuitous singing. This is the place for me.

My perfect day off is…

Lazing around my old house (in my dream day off, the house is already clean and the phone never rings), with nothing planned.

I help people create positive outcomes with whatever they have to work with.

Likes:

Scrambled eggs, adrenaline, dogs, big words, and movies with magic, heists, or set in cities where people take lots of cab rides.

Dislikes:

Squash (except for fried), voice mail, indecision, driving, and plastic plants.
