Jennifer Hunter has been promoted to Escrow Officer at our Bee Caves office, and we could not be more excited to share the news and introduce her! She has been working with Independence Title and the Phyllis Anderson Team for about 7 years and has been performing back-up and courtesy closings for more than a year. She says, “Coming to Independence Title was the best career move I’ve ever made. I love it, this is my destination career!”
She grew up in Massachusetts and moved to the Oak Hill area when she was 13 when her dad re-located for his work. She graduated from Bowie High School. “I have always loved working since I started at the age of 15,” she says. “My first job was at the Jim’s Restaurant in Oak Hill and I learned so much.” She said she loved developing relationships with her regular customers, and learned not only how to multi-task, but how to deliver great customer service to all kinds of personalities and situations.
“As much as I enjoyed it, I decided that I couldn’t be a waitress all my life,” she laughs, “so after I graduated high school I decided to train in the administrative field and worked at a temporary agency to explore my options.” That’s when her life in the real estate industry began.
She worked for commercial and retail property management, and with a commercial brokerage before working her way to the residential side, which eventually led to working with a loan officer for 3 years. She then decided it was time to make another change as she felt she wanted to do more to be a part of the transaction. “I had heard that Phyllis was looking for an assistant at her office so I applied, the rest is history!”
She has a naturally optimistic nature which helps her see the opportunities in challenges. “When we run into a challenge on a file, I really know it’s an opportunity to dig in and find the best solution. I love finding the answers and getting to the closing table,” she says. “These are important transactions to people, no matter the size and I want to make sure they know how truly important they are to me.”
She loves working at Independence Title. “I have so much to say about Independence,” she says. “The support, the teamwork, customer service, and professionalism are amazing, but I am especially grateful for the mentorship and camaraderie we have here. It’s my home.”
When she’s not working, she loves hanging out with her two grown-up sons and exploring with her husband. “We love living in the Bee Cave area,” she says. “There’s always something to experience and enjoy!”
