At Independence Title, we have retooled our processes at every stage, retrained our teams, and rebuilt our resources for these challenging times. We are closing most transactions remotely and to help keep everyone healthy. We have developed new best practices to keep you safely distanced in our offices when an in-person closing is the only option. And we’re still delivering the very best in quality, service, and attention to detail that you expect from Independence Title. Read on for the latest details …

PROTECTING COMMUNITIES
Some Central Texas counties and municipalities have issued local orders requiring face coverings for citizens in public spaces. We are of course observing these rules in our offices where applicable. Contact your local Independence Title location if you have any questions about where these rules apply.

CLOSING AT HOME
The COVID-19 crisis continues to evolve, and for the safety of our clients and team members we’re limiting closings in the office to just those transactions that can’t close any other way. Please talk to your escrow officer about the options available for your specific transaction and we’ll work with you to make things go as smoothly as possible. Flexibility on closing dates is very helpful on transactions that will require mobile notaries. View our Remote Closing Solutions flyer for more details. It’s helpful also to build in some extra time on the contract closing date, especially if the buyers are getting a loan. All aspects of the loan process are taking longer – loan approvals are slower due to challenges in getting employment verifications and changes in job status, delays from credit reporting agencies, and so forth.

BY APPOINTMENT ONLY
Independence Title is limiting entry to our branch offices to employees, deliveries, and scheduled closings only. Before heading to an office, please contact them to let them know you are coming and the reason for your trip. If the need for your visit can be handled remotely, please let us know how we can help you so that a physical visit is not necessary. We appreciate your understanding and will make every effort to keep this disruption to office access as hassle free as possible.

DISTANCE LEARNING
Independence is now offering CE education opportunities exclusively online until further notice. Watch our Education page for upcoming classes, and your email for details from your Business Development Representatives. Please contact your account rep and let us know what you need – if your license is renewing in the near term, we can help! You can also tune in to economic updates with Mark Sprague – ask us for details.
