Social Distancing UPDATE 2020 (updated 3/20/2020)
By: Kara McGregor, Senior Vice President – Business Development
We at Independence are committed both to your good health and the success of your real estate business and transactions. News and recommendations are evolving daily, but here are some measures we are implementing now to help everyone move forward.
BY APPOINTMENT ONLY
Beginning March 23, 2020, Independence Title will be limiting entry to our branch offices to employees, deliveries, and scheduled closings. Before heading to an office, please contact them to let them know you are coming and the reason for your trip. If the need for your visit can be handled remotely, please let us know how we can help you so that a physical visit is not necessary. We appreciate your understanding and will make every effort to keep this disruption to office access as hassle free as possible.
We’re offering multiple remote closing options to help you keep your transaction on schedule where an in-person closing isn’t possible. Visit Remote Closing Solutions for more details. Out of respect for our customers and staff, Independence will cover the cost of these accommodations through April 30th, 2020. Talk to your escrow officer about which option is best for you.
IN PERSON … AT A DISTANCE
For closings and other personal contact in our offices, we’re welcoming you with smiles instead of handshakes, minimizing sharing paper and treating pens as personal-use items that customers take with them. We’ll give you that personal touch without the touch!
We have suspended live classroom training for the near term, and are setting up remote CE education opportunities. Please contact your business development representative and let us know what you need. If your license is renewing in the near term, we can help!
We are thankful for our customers and friends and will continue to reevaluate our best practices for everyone’s safety. In the meantime, we’re here to help you keep your real estate goals on track.
