(Updated March 25, 2020)

We at Independence are continuing to monitor the latest developments and best practices for your health and the success of your real estate business and transactions. News and recommendations are evolving daily, but here is the latest on our business practices and resources. See below for updates on access to our offices, online CE class opportunities, remote closings and more …

BY APPOINTMENT ONLY
Beginning March 23, 2020, Independence Title will be limiting entry to our branch offices to employees, deliveries, and scheduled closings only. Before heading to an office, please contact them to let them know you are coming and the reason for your trip. If the need for your visit can be handled remotely, please let us know how we can help you so that a physical visit is not necessary. We appreciate your understanding and will make every effort to keep this disruption to office access as hassle free as possible.

NOTE: Some counties are implementing Shelter in Place orders at this time. Title companies are generally exempt from such orders as they typically exclude financial services institutions, so we are able to continue closing transactions in our offices within these limitations. Please talk to your Escrow Officer about the best strategies for closing your specific transaction.

DISTANCE CLOSING
We’re offering multiple remote closing options to help you keep your transaction on schedule where an in-person closing isn’t possible. View our Remote Closing Solutions for more details. Out of respect for our customers and staff, Independence will cover the cost of these accommodations through April 30th, 2020. Talk to your escrow officer about which option is best for you..

IN PERSON … AT A DISTANCE
For closings and other personal contact in our offices, we’re welcoming you with smiles instead of handshakes, minimizing sharing paper and treating pens as personal-use items that customers take with them. We’ll give you that personal touch without the touch.

DISTANCE LEARNING
Independence is now offering CE education opportunities exclusively online until further notice. Watch our Education page for upcoming classes, and your email for details from your Business Development Representatives. Please contact your account rep and let us know what you need – if your license is renewing in the near term, we can help! You can also tune in to economic updates with Mark Sprague – ask us for details.

KEEP IN TOUCH WITH YOUR CLIENTS
Keep the conversation going with your clients and sphere with these great tips. Here’s a link to our Keep in Touch flyer with ideas on maintaining relationships at a distance. There are tips on using technologies, content to share with your clients to help families stay busy at home, and more.

THANK YOU
We are thankful for our customers and friends and will continue to reevaluate our best practices for everyone’s safety. In the meantime, we’re here to help you keep your real estate goals on track.
